The Role
As an Assistant Systems and Network Administrator you will play a pivotal role in aligning our IT strategy with organizational objectives, whilst facilitating the daily operations of the IT Department. You will be expected to provide an efficient support delivery and manage performance metrics. This role necessitates being on call, to promptly address any emergent situations or requests that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with team members, users, and vendors.
- Document technical processes and procedures clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with development departments to ensure seamless operation and support.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in system administration and networking.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance system performance, reliability, and security.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and effective support.
- Provide user training and support to promote IT literacy and best practices.
Requirements
- 3 years' experience working within the IT Sector
- Proficiency in supporting and managing Windows/ macOS environments
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Familiarity with security practices
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity problems, hardware malfunctions, and software issues
- In possession of IT related qualifications
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Organized, with great attention to detail
- Growth mindset with fast adaptability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
