Technical Services Specialist - Math
Location – This is an in-office role based in Bangor, North Wales
The Technical Services Specialist (TSS) is part of the global Engineering/Math teams. The TSS will review specific areas of work performed by engineers and/or mathematicians, proofreading and conducting related
research to ensure our clients receive accurate and quality certifications. They provide administrative support to the Math team managers and team leaders.
Essential Functions and Duties
• Performs incoming reviews on projects/requests with minimal interaction or support.
• Notifies project owners/Leads of projects/requests and other execution workflow involvement as needed.
• Creates and/or modifies projects/tasks in our internal and third-party systems.
• Creates, modifies, and confirms needed documentation, results, and jurisdictional deliverables
• Performs quality reviews on testing evidence, documentation, and audit materials.
• Creates organized Statement of Work templates and delivers professional email estimates to fixed price clients.
• Provides organized templates for standard complexity timeline estimates and project costs.
• Uploads and interfaces with any jurisdictional specific process/system.
• Learns and properly utilizes various internal tools used for project tracking andmanagement.
• Drafts or verifies the game descriptions against the pay class.
• Generates draft reports and reviews for errors or omissions.
• Verifies software and hardware components used in testing to ensure they are approved for the appropriate jurisdiction(s).
• Provides feedback regarding quality issues.
• Works closely with teams to identify common mistakes, areas for improvement, and efficiencies in process.
• Documents review results and issues to internal groups in a clear and professional manner.
• Executes reporting and dashboard queries.
• Monitors key performance indicators and real-time project metrics.
• Supports regulators with reports and deliverable specifics.
• Supports clients with specific process training and other similar requests.
• Learns the proper operation and function of various electronic gaming devices.
• Learns and properly executes the test methods to test various electronic gaming devices.
• Tests specific tasks on electronic gaming machines, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required education and experience
• Degree level education.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Programming, Electronics, Maths or a related discipline is preferred, but not required.
• Certification, formal training, education, experience or demonstrated competency may be evaluated and considered in lieu of these requirements.
Required skills and abilities
• Knowledge of the Company’s systems and tools, including Evolution, eResults, GPS, Verify+, Kobetron device, Submissions Database and ProTrack Databases is preferred but can be trained.
• Knowledge of the Company’s submission, test and approval process is preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with internal and external parties.
• Must have ability to articulate and communicate deficiencies found in review to engineers, in both written and verbal form.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness, including the ability to proofread and identify improper grammar and spelling errors.
• Must have the ability to read and comprehend game descriptions, help screens and payglass.
• Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines, as well as organize data and thoughts succinctly to technical teams.
• Must have the ability to be forward-thinking to automate process and procedures.
• Must have the ability to manage work independently and in a team environment.
