In this role you will add value to PXP by:
working closely with analysts, developers, and architects from various teams to brainstorm and implement creative solutions to challenging issues. Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred, along with a proven ability to adapt to evolving technical landscapes.
A typical week as an Dev Ops Engineer might involve:
- Build, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery.
- Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerised applications, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline and automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices
- Monitor and optimize CI/CD pipeline performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Work with Information Security to integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, including code scanning, vulnerability assessment, and compliance checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and Azure infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on CI/CD best practices, Azure DevOps tools, and Kubernetes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps, Azure, and Kubernetes.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure DevOps and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with both on-premises and cloud environments utilising technologies such as technologies such as VMWare, Kafka, Nutanix HCI, Linux, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Proficient in managing containerised environments with sidecars and deploying clusters using tools like Kubespray.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of clusters.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, or Azure DevOps IaC pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
We would love someone to have any of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator or Azure DevOps Engineer.
