We are looking for
The HR Generalist is responsible for managing a range of HR administrative functions, including work permit documentation, leave tracking, new hire onboarding, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Acting as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, the HR Generalist also assists with various HR projects and addresses ad-hoc HR issues.
This role is essential in maintaining efficient HR operations and promoting employee well-being within the organization.
What you’ll do
Employee Relations and Administration:
- Responsible for onboarding processes, including document preparation and induction meetings.
- Manage terminations, including exit interviews and handle other related administrative off-boarding tasks.
- Organize and maintain employee records, including sickness monitoring and leave management.
- Coordinate probation periods and annual reviews.
- Handle payroll queries and administration, including FS3 distribution and reference bonus management.
- Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries.
- Coordinate mobile connections, health insurance, and other related queries.
- Responsible for internal communications related to HR matters.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Be a go-to person for any assistance with Work Permit queries, giving employees clear, correct and updated information regarding the process of such.
- Prepare and submit employment license applications for Third Country Nationals.
- Distribute company policies to all employees and ensure acknowledgment by obtaining their signatures.
- Manage retention periods and document shredding.
- Keep abreast of local employment law and assist with compliance.
HR Support and Communication:
- Act as a point of contact for HR inquiries, benefits enrollment.
- Prepare documentation for salary and job title changes and update systems accordingly, and inform payroll of salary changes.
- Liaise with external partners and vendors.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives.
- Administer the reward and recognition programs.
- Coordinate and assist with the Game Lounge initiative, Wellness Week.
- Assist with ad hoc HR matters and provide support as needed.
The ideal candidate should have
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or other related areas.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Maltese labour law and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize on important projects and an eye for detail.
- Experience with BambooHR software will be considered an asset.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
