Position Summary
What You'll Do
- Take ownership in driving new feature development through every stage of the product life cycle and deliver incremental value using agile methodologies.
- Have a proven track record of delivering solutions customers love and understanding the craft behind doing it.
- Understand product interaction within a business process and from an end-user experience viewpoint, know the product and technology, and then figure out how best to change the product to address the business need.
- Evaluate every feature request, capture detailed business requirements from customers, and work closely with internal stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories for consumption by the development team.
- Work with the development team through the development cycle to ensure features developed meet the desired business objectives.
- Identify gaps or conflicts in requirements and drive toward resolution.
- Liaise between internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of the product offerings.
- Monitor and track product feedback to help in the prioritization of projects.
- Refine and build the assigned product offering over time.
- Act as product champion and establish effective relationships with key partners.
Who you are:
- 2-4 years experience as a Business Analyst/Product Owner in a complex business and systems environment.
- Ability to gather business requirements within complex organizations and develop appropriate technology and business solutions.
- Proficiency in requirements analysis, user stories, wireframing, and requirements prioritization.
- Excellent understanding of the Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodologies; grooming backlog and constant interaction with the Scrum team; you must be able to clearly describe requirements and detailed functional stories to the Scrum team.
- Demonstrated skills with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle, and problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with higher-level officials.
- Ability to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high-quality work products on time with minimal direction.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and work with a distributed team.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to use proven problem-solving approaches to most solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (such as Project, Word, and Excel) and Windows operating systems environment.
