Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Manual Mid-level Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products (Mobile, Web) through comprehensive manual testing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, to identify, document, and track defects, as well as suggest improvements for overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Design:
- Collaborate with product and development teams to understand product requirements and design test plans and test cases.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Test Execution:
- Perform manual testing on various platforms, including web and mobile applications.
- Execute test cases and report defects using bug tracking tools.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate bug-tracking systems.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate test results, progress, and issues with the project team and stakeholders.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest and implement improvements in the QA process and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and willingness to learn automation testing.
- Understanding of performance and security testing concepts.
