Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The successful candidate will play a critical role in auditing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial and operational processes. This position will report directly to SiGMA Group’s CEO and will work closely with our European headquarters to ensure that all Brazilian operations are aligned with SiGMA’s global standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and Review: Conduct comprehensive audits of all financial records, contracts, and transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
- Contract Analysis: Review all client and employee contracts to identify any discrepancies, ensuring that terms and conditions are fair, legally compliant, and in line with SiGMA Group’s standards.
- Financial Systems Review: Analyze the current finance system in detail, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in compliance with both Brazilian and international financial regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all business practices in Brazil comply with local financial regulations, as well as SiGMA Group’s internal policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify potential areas for process improvement and recommend best practices to streamline financial operations and enhance transparency.
- Communication and Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to SiGMA Group’s management team, highlighting any issues or concerns, and offering actionable solutions.
- Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor to SiGMA Group, offering expert guidance on conducting business in Brazil, particularly in navigating regulatory differences and financial practices.
- Internal Controls: Evaluate and enhance internal controls to mitigate risks and protect company assets.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within an international company. Experience working in or with companies based in Brazil is a requirement.
- Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Portuguese (spoken and written) is essential.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Brazilian financial regulations and international accounting standards.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically.
- Technological Proficiency: Proficient in financial software.
